  • I have two spelling quirks.

I prefer to (and do) spell the word, “theater” like this: theatre
I prefer to (and do) spell the word, “gray” like this: grey

Not that either is incorrect, but I prefer to spell them that way. For reasons unknown to me, it feels right my way.

Last week’s trip marked my first time in both Missouri and Kansas. It made me wonder how many states I’ve actually set foot in. I was too lazy to count myself, but I found this. Here are my results:

For as much as we travel, I think I expected it to be more.

Just ordered Waking Up Dead on DVD and since it’d be something stupid like $5 to ship, but an additional $8 item would qualify for free shipping I also ordered a copy of Blink. (yeah, I fell right into the master plan)

I ordered the DVD because it doesn’t look like Netflix will pick up the movie anytime soon – if ever. I first saw the trailer on the WUD website a while back and have been waiting for it to show up on DVD for ages. I’m interested for a few reasons.

I dig movies about the music industry, bands, musicians and things like that. Fictional is cool, but documentaries like this are even better. I dig Phil Varone. He was the drummer for Saigon Kick (if you haven’t noticed from the list of music I listen to on the left sidebar – one of my favorite bands) although by the time they filmed this he was with Skid Row. I dig blow, beer, tits and blow jobs.

All the ingredients are there, I had to snag a copy.

As far as the Blink book goes. It came as an Amazon recommendation based on my purchase/love of the Freakonomics book and if I remember correctly, Gator over at CoasterBuzz also recommended it.

Looks exactly like the type of crap I like to read and the kind of thing I could blow through in a few hours and enjoy. I’ll probably take it to Florida to pass an afternoon at the in-laws. (depending on the delivery date, I might just be watching the DVD on the drive down as well)

So those are my latest entertainment choices and since I seem to post about every little thing I buy, I figured I’d post this too.

I wrote a lengthy TR on our week in Missouri over at CoasterBuzz. It’s like 13 miles long, so I’m not going to post it here.

If you’re interested then go check it out.
