The boys ended the season with a nailbiter. The final score was 27-25. Basically, it boils down to 4 touchdowns each, but they scored 3 extra points to our 1. We had the ball at the end of the game, but with time running out on us, the kids were forced to hurry and got stopped inside the 10 with 7 seconds left and turned over the ball on downs.
6-2 is very respectable and looking at the final standings for the season, that seems pretty solid. The teams we lost to are among the best and it feels like we could hold our own against either of them in a rematch.
Not sure who we’re facing in the first round and I don’t want to curse things, but I think these kids could do pretty well over the next few weeks.
We’ll see, I suppose. From this point out, the season ends with a loss.
