  • No super introspective thoughts or crap like that. I’m not sentimental about the birthday thing at all. If anything it’s a chance to look ahead, not back.

    I’m cool with the age thing too. I don’t have a problem with getting older. I’m still closer to my 20′s than my 40′s anyway.

    The only thing I’ve noticed more and more lately is the fact that time just seems to keep going faster and faster. But I even have a theory on that.

    It’s obviously not time moving faster, but rather my perception of time changing. For example, my daughter turns 10 this year. One year is 1/10th of her life. That’s a big chunk. For me a year is just 1/34th of my life. There’s a big difference there. Does that make sense? I mean 1/10th of my life would be almost 3 1/2 years. In comparison, the last 3 1/2 years seem to have gone by about as quickly as a year seemed to when I was in 4th grade.

    I dunno. I think I’m onto something there.
