High Times magazine is a magzine devoted to the stoner population. Quite simple it’s a pot magazine. I was never an avid reader, but I’ve seen more than a few issues in my time.

One of the features of the magazine (during the time that I read) was the Hemp 100. It was the last page of the magazine and essentially little things people thought were cool (usually while high) got sent in and the 100 items with the most ‘votes’ got listed in a freaky little list complete with cartoony drawings an stuff like that.

(I was just searching for some info on the magazine and the list and found that it’s now the Pot 40)

So what am I getting at?

Well, last night I was going through a bunch of old files I have archived and I stumbled upon the July 1999 Hemp 100 – the one I actually made it onto. I’ll spare the story behind it (and it adds a nice sense of mystery if I don’t explain it) but I assure you this is not a photochop or trickery of any kind. If you score a back issue from July 1999 (I think that’s the right year – what memory loss?) it’s right there in black and white.
