We signed up for football this past weekend, so this fall expect the constant updates on my son’s happenings. But in the winter/spring we usually have daughterly happenings. And now is no exception. (although the art show is later this week and we’re anxious to see if he gets something chosen for the district show again this year)

The latest is that my daughter was chosen as a representative from her school to welcome home veterans who were sent to Washington D.C. thanks to our school district raising $17,000 for Honor Flight. Her and kids from all the secondary schools will travel to the airport late (like 11pm or some shit) and welcome the veterans with a meet and greet and be able to thank them and ask questions and such. Just show some appreciation.

I think that’s kind of cool.
