  • So now she thinks Letterman needs to apologize to young women in general. (see full story)

    From the article:

When Lauer brought up that Letterman clarified that he wasn’t talking about her 14-year-old daughter Willow (shown here holding baby Trig), but was targeting 18-year-old Bristol, Palin said, “I would say that you and anybody else are extremely naïve to believe David Letterman’s very extremely convenient excuse.

And right there I lose all respect. She’s keeping it going. The jokes don’t even make sense unless he’s referring to Bristol. I watch Dave pretty much every night and I can tell you it never went through my mind that he meant any other of their kids when he did those monologue jokes. He made ‘knocked up’ jokes…because, you know, the 18-year old got knocked up. Where’s the mystery on this one? Who hears a “Palin’s daughter got knocked up” joke and thinks of any of their kids other than Bristol?

Someone trying to make a big deal out of nothing…that’s who.

I believe Letterman’s Friday show is taped on Monday, so there’ll be no mention of this. Wonder what’ll happen over the weekend. Maybe Sarah Palin will just let it go and quit using it for attention whoring purposes. Seems a little dirtier to keep trying to tie your 14-year-old to the joke for your own gain than to supposedly make a joke about a 14-year-old in the first place, doesn’t it?

Yeah, absolutely. She may think it’s ridiculous to believe Dave’s explanation of the joke, but I think it’s pretty ridiculous to believe she is that offended by the whole thing.

In an article I read this morning, this quote was offered:

“Governor Palin wasn’t satisfied, calling his joke “a degrading comment about a young woman” and saying that she hopes “people would start really rising up and not accepting this

“It’s no wonder girls have such low self-esteem in America when a comedian can make a remark like this,” she added.”

Come on, really? What does that comment, funny or not, have to do with the self-esteem of young girls? That really makes it apparent to me she is attention-whoring, as you referenced as well.

I remember when the Republicans put her on the ticket, and I thought, wow, they’re picking a younger woman, perhaps they finally get it. Then it took less than a week to show that they had chosen a complete idiot.

If you live in Alassssska and voter for her, you should be embarrassed.

You know, I think Letterman’s joke was in poor taste regardless, I mean, the girl is 18, and I wouldn’t want someone to make said joke about my daughter (See: Jamie Foxx vs Miley Cyrus).

Having said that, and keeping in mind I’ve never liked Letterman much, Palin is using this in order to be a victim and keep it going. She’s still doing it as of today, and she’s still an idiot. She honestly thinks she has a shot at 2012.
