I like it better than what you have put up before. However my biggest issue is that nothing stands out. Everything seems to blend into one blob and my mind can’t decide where to look first.
My suggestions:
Make the headlines bigger (“Latest Updates”, “Featured..”, etc.)
Distinguish one oft he two update columns with some border/background/marching ants ;)
I don’t like the “What it’s all about at the bottom. I understand you need to take care of return fans as well as new ones, but that text seems to get lost at the bottom of the page. It needs to stand out or be moved.
