We pay as they come. No budget plan.

The biggest gas bill I saw at the condo was probably in the $150 range. That place was two floors around 1400 sq ft.

The biggest one I've seen here (keep in mind we didn't really move in until January) was $192 and this place is two floors plus the finished basement and a little over 2600 sq ft total.

The bill I just paid this week (for 4/28 - 5/27) was $33.60

I don't know if it's the house, the furance, our habits or what, but the gas company website always says our bill/usage is "very low" compared to similar houses.

If it stays in that range, I'm happy. I can remember getting higher gas bills bigger than that a decade ago when we lived in a duplex in PA. (the last time we had gas heat before coming to Dayton in 2006)

At the rate things are going, I'm not sure I'll see electric savings from A/C if I'm home for the summer either. Out of curiosity, what does your gas bill look like in the winter down there? Do you do a budget plan or straight cost?

"...and the old owners had put marks on the side with an “H” and a “C” by them so they knew where to slide the lame plastic lever on the side without thinking."

Wow. Just wow.

I just might still see a savings. There's lots of little convenient 'features' beyond the 7-day, 4 programs per day thing that might be useful.

Our gas bill here was already pretty low.

Oh, it's glowy. Nice. We had significant savings on our gas bills last winter since I installed a timer thermostat, though your mileage may vary since you're home during the day. Depends on if you like it to cooler at night.
