Since there’s not a whole lot of excitement outside of school ending this week, I’ll stick with updates on the car search.

We finally decided to get offline and just go to the local dealer even though they didn’t have the model we’re after. We finally got a little hands on with the car (and it’s surprisingly plush), got a great salesman (so far), told him what we wanted, got approved for an even better financing rate than we found on our own, agreed on a good price range for the car we want and left with them trying to locate a dealer with a car with the exact trim level and features we want in stock and getting it here (one step short of ordering it, I suppose – but a lot faster turnaround). No call tonight, but we didn’t expect one. Thinking we’ll get some sort of follow-up tomorrow.

I’d love to be in this thing by the end of the week.
