We have this big, honkin’ mirror that’s oversized and weighs about a ton. It used to hang behind the couch at the old place, but that’s not an option here.

The damn thing is so heavy it has it’s own bracket that you have to attach to the wall to hang it on. When we officially moved (last July) we used movers for the first time in our lives. The upside was the lack of effort needed to move. The downside was having no idea where anything was once they unloaded. One of the things we simply could not find was the bracket for the mirror.

After last weekend’s garage cleaning we stumbled across it – in a box packed full of odds and ends that made absolutely no sense. The box had shoes, a bunch of wires and cables, a few toys – just a bunch of weird non-related things.

At the time I didn’t have any screws to hang the bracket with, so today I finally got over to Home Depot and picked up some big ol’ wood screws, sunk them into some wall studs and hung the mirror in the entry over the little table we bought at the beginning of the year with the sole purpose of eventually putting it in the entry and hanging the mirror above it if we ever found the bracket.

We’ve been at this place almost 10 months and we’re still trying to make it look like someone lives here…we suck. At any rate, here’s a look at my little mirror/table combo in the entry. (the candles were lying around too – I need to find some crap to stick on the table…and maybe something else for the wall…whatever…)
