This may sound weird, but I wish The Daily Show had fewer jokes. I’d much rather see Jon Stewart giving his take on the day’s news than the goofy segments and pre-taped bits that come during the second segment.

I was thinking the same thing last night when he was talking to Ari Fletcher.

Maybe the problem is that we’re looking to an entertainment show for news? I’m not sure if that’s commentary on a problem with a certain segment of the population (if I say the kids, Jeff will hate on me) or commentary on a problem with the current state of news outlets…or both.

But either way, it’s a problem.
