The week started with my duaghter’s 10th birthday. That’s a scary thought right there. 10 fucking years!
Apparently 10-year olds get much better gifts than when I was a kid. She scored jewelry, cash (almost $100 in total), an iPod Shuffle and a cell phone along with the usual bits and pieces of fun and/or useful items. In addition, on Friday night she invited a couple of friends to Fort Rapids to do the waterpark thing and spend the night.
I spent most of Tuesday and Wednesday masturbating into or onto various items – socks, vases, buckets, towels, a pickle jar and a screwdriver. (not really, but I wanted to make this more interesting than it was, so let’s just pretend that happened)
On Thursday we got on of those carpet cleaning machines and went nuts. The carpet in this place got real bad, real quick. I hate carpet. The thing was the last people to have the machine must have had a dog or cats or something because there was pet hair all over the thing. Pet hair destroys me anymore. I get itchy all over and red, watery eyes – the whole deal. It’s a little weird because I always had pets growing up and me and Jamie even had a dog for 7 years. Lately though I just die near dog/cat hair. Whatever. The carpet looks decent again.
Friday afternoon the girls took off for the aforementioned Fort Rapids night. Me and Little Man got burger king, watched the newest episode of Mythbusters which I had on the DVR, played Monopoly Junior and watched Ratatouille. It was fun.
Saturday we did some grocery shopping and stuff around the house. Finished the night by watching, “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry” – typical Sandler fare. I’m sure the handling of the whole gay thing will piss people off, but whatever.
Today was slow and boring. The first time in weeks we didn’t get a chance to see the Steelers game in the Cincy/Dayton market. Looks like it was a decent game too. Just felt ‘off’ for most of the day – including the podcast recording.
Now I think I’m going to go watch some stuff I have DVR’d that I’d like to catch up on. There’s a cool thing that was running on History HD about how the Earth was made and I think I have the Weird Al episode of Biography on there too. Watching those will be so much more productive than working on photos or something, right?
